Meet the Irvine Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Irvine

Every gate we work on in Irvine has a person behind the repair, and we’d rather you know who that person is before they arrive. Adrian Vance built this company in 2014 on a simple habit from his commercial access-control days: write everything down, photograph everything, and stand behind the work. The crew we’ve assembled in Irvine follows that same routine. Background-checked, uniformed, and on time. Here’s who you’ll see at your gate.

Our People

Adrian Vance, Owner & Lead Technician

Adrian started in commercial access control back in 2014, wiring gates for office parks and industrial lots where a failed motor meant a security problem, not just an inconvenience. That’s where he picked up the documentation habit: every limit switch setting written down, every wire run photographed. He still carries that same clipboard mentality to residential gates in Irvine. When he’s not diagnosing a stubborn FAAC board or resetting a BFT limit switch, he’s training the crew on the nine automation brands we service. Adrian’s the one who answers the phone at 3 a.m. if you call. He doesn’t sleep much.

Marcus T., Senior Installer

Marcus joined Vance Gate Repair in 2018 after six years with a steel fabricator, and he’s the guy we put on any job that needs welding. He’s certified in MIG and TIG welding and has built his share of custom driveway gates from raw square tube. Marcus handles the heavy structural work: bent gate frames, broken hinge posts, rusted-out bottom rails. His specialty is retrofitting older gates to accept new automation without tearing out the existing footprint. He keeps a photo archive of every weld he’s ever done, because he says a good weld should look as clean on the back as it does on the front.

Elena R., Service Coordinator

Elena runs dispatch from our Irvine office, and she’s the first voice you’ll hear when you call during the day. She’s been with us since 2020 and knows the service area block by block, so when you say “the gate is stuck halfway on a slope in Northwood,” she knows exactly what you’re dealing with. Elena handles scheduling, parts ordering, and the written estimates we send before any technician shows up. She’s also the one who makes sure every job file includes the photo documentation Clause 4 of the Haven Standard calls for. Before she worked in gate repair, she managed a fleet maintenance office, so half-open reports and missing paperwork don’t get past her.

Dev P., Apprentice Technician

Dev started with us in 2023 as an apprentice, and he’s fast turning into the person we trust with photo-eye alignments and swing-arm bracket work. He came from an electrician’s assistant background, which helps when we’re tracing low-voltage wiring on older LiftMaster and Viking operators. Dev handles a lot of the safety-edge testing and force calibration on swing gates, and he’s methodical about it: same procedure, same order, every time. He’s currently working through certification on DoorKing and Elite systems. When he’s not on a job, he’s usually taking apart a dead opener on the shop bench to figure out what failed.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

Each of us in Irvine works under the same rules, and those rules apply whether you’re getting a hinge replaced or a full automated gate installed from scratch. Written price before any work begins: that’s Clause 1, and we don’t start until you’ve seen the number on paper. Documented photo record on every visit: what we found, what we adjusted, what we installed. You get a copy before we leave. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every job we complete. If something isn’t right within a year, we come back and fix it at no charge. Nine brands serviced, one company on the van, and a live person answering the phone 24 hours a day.
